Renter’s Personal Requirements
At the time of pick up the renter needs to provide the following documents:
- Passport or ID (Only EU ID cards are accepted)
- Driving license
- Credit/Debit card
All documents must be valid until the end of the rental period.

Deposit amount of €1 for “Key N Drive” is only accepted by credit card. If the client do not provide a valid credit card under his name, but only a valid debit card (VISA or MasterCard), the deposit amount for “Key N Drive” will be equal to the deposit amount of “Unlimited”.
At the time of pick up the renter must leave a deposit. The deposit could be blocked in a credit/debit card. Cash deposit is also accepted for some of the car classes. The Lessor reserves the right to reject deposit in cash.
If the client fails to provide valid debit/credit card, under main driver’s name, at the time of pick up, the Lessor reserves the right to not provide a car to that client. In such case no prepayment will be refunded.
Process of Deposit Authorization
At the time of pick up the deposit is blocked by credit/debit card. The deposit amount will be released at the day of drop off if the Lesser does not establish new damages on the vehicle, the car is returned with a full tank and none of the rental agreement terms have been violated.
Full Insurance “Super Collision Damage Waiver + Theft Protection”
This insurance could be added for an additional fee upon request of the customer and provides the following rights:
- Replacement vehicle in case of damage, fire, and theft
- Free roadside assistance in case of damage or fire on the territory of Bulgaria
- Deposit refund in case of damage or theft (Does not include damages on the tire, rims, and undercarriage)
- One time administration fee in case of damage or theft
The “Super CDW+TP” is only valid in case the renter provides police report, returns the keys and documents of the car and haven’t used drugs or alcohol. If the customer does not provide protocol from the police – he is fully responsible for the damage cost, as well as the count of the days needed for full car repair.
Fuel Policy
The vehicle is being provided by the Lessor with full tank and should be returned full. In case the client returns the vehicle with party full tank or an empty tank, he is responsible to cover the fuel expenses as well as a fee of 20 EUR.
Guaranteed Make and Model
“Car 1 Rent a car” guarantees the car make and model for all reservations booked through the official website “www.CAR1.bg”. The make and model are guaranteed for packages “Unlimited” and “Key N Drive”. “Car 1 Rent a car” reserves the right to provide vehicle from higher class in case of vehicles unavailability.
